Roger earns his living as a driving instructor. He took up wood turning in 2006 and the phrase "Like a duck to water" definitely applies. A day at the driving school can be quite stressful so he finds woodturning a good way of relaxing.

Roger gives up his time to demonstrate on behalf of the club at local shows and galas. He encourages others to take up what is a creative and satisfying pastime. He has a nice way with the public and a sharp sense of humour.

In the event of someone admiring one of his turned pieces enough to buy, Roger does his bit for the RNLI and donates the proceeds.
